In my testing I tried specifying a template name of "Deploy XPe 810" and an image file name of "XPe810". When capturing the image, do not use spaces in the template or image file name. The agent needs to be updated to the latest in order for imaging operations to work. I recommend uninstalling if need to manage with HPDM. HPDM 4.5 doesn't appear to play nice with the Symantec Endpoint Protection Firewall installed by default on the thin client.
I've gotten it to work but there are some quirks and extra steps that need to be taken. I am currently investigating imaging for XPe. It is recommended that the earlier version be used to manage XPe thin clients. The latest stable HP Device Manager release that has been fully tested with XPe is HP Device Manager 4.4 (Installer version: 0, built on ).
